Buy With Confidence
Clyde Windows & Construction is pleased to be a part of the Government's "Buy With Confidence" Scheme.
This is a huge accomplishment that allows our prospective customers to buy with confidence, knowing that trading standards has investigated all aspects of our business, including employee background checks (via Disclosure Scotland), our sales ethos, product quality, contract fairness, pricing, and guarantees. They also thoroughly investigate our customer service, after-sales service, and complaint handling procedures.
As previously stated, trading standards must be completely satisfied with every aspect of the company. Trading Standards state Many local authorities run approved trader schemes; South Lanarkshire's is Buy with Confidence. It is the UK's largest national approved trader scheme, and it aims to provide consumers with a reliable way of finding trustworthy local businesses that have undergone rigorous background checks and audits before being accredited. Buy with Confidence is coordinated by a number of Trading Standards services. The Office of Fair Trading has endorsed and approved it, and it is regarded as a "best practise" scheme.
Some local councils have not taken up the buy with confidence program, but have opted for the trusted trader programme instead. We have been passed as a Trusted Trader for All councils in which we operate.
We have been vetted, checked and approved by all of the following Trading Standards Departments:
South Lanarkshire Council (Buy with Confidence)
As recommended by Citizens Advice, Buy With Confidence is a register of businesses approved by Trading Standards. It shows that we operate in a legal, honest and fair way. Clyde Windows is 100% committed to providing the very best products, before and after sales service. We never cold call, door canvas and are against any form of pressure sales. Renfrewshire Trusted Traders
The Renfrewshire Trusted Trader scheme is a joint Council and Trading Standards initiative to help you choose a reliable local trader. Members have been vetted by Renfrewshire Trading Standards and the Trusted Trader scheme is supported by Police Scotland and Citizens Advice Scotland. All Trusted Traders have agreed to trade fairly and sign-up to a Code of Practice. The Code covers:transparent procedures for quoting and carrying out work, only charging a fair and reasonable price, dealing with complaints promptly
South Ayrshire Trusted Traders
Ayrshire Trusted Trader is a directory of local businesses that have been vetted by Ayrshire Trading Standards and who made a commitment to treat their customers fairly.
West Lothian Trusted Traders
West Lothian Trusted Trader helps you to choose a reputable trader, in order to join the scheme we are required to sign up to a code of practice agreeing to trade fairly, with Trading Standards monitoring our business practices.
Edinburgh City Council (Trusted Traders)
Edinburgh Trusted Trader is the official "go to" list of vetted traders, backed by The City of Edinburgh Council and supported by Police Scotland. The Edinburgh Trusted Trader Scheme can help you find honest and reliable traders who have been fully vetted by Edinburgh Trading Standards.
